Interview with Lauren Ashley

Author of Everything I Am

Tell us a little about yourself

I am PR professional by day, novelist by night. When I'm not being getting swept up in writing sinfully saucy romances, I spend most of my time reading and going on foodie adventures with my hubby. I'm also an avid dancer, loves singing loudly to old-school 2000 pop-punk music, and I'm a sucker, pun intended, for a good Vampire Diaries marathon with her Mum. Romance fiction is my life, and I spend way too many nights way past my bed time reading. I prefer books to people and always joke that my Kindle is the best thing my husband ever gave me.

What prompted you to write your upcoming or latest release?

My husband and I went through the stillbirth of our daughter and it was the only way I could process and grieve. I completely shut out the world and escaped into my writing, pouring out my emotions onto the page through words. I really love writing saucy and salacious sex scenes with to-die-for characters that you both learn to love and hate.

What genre and tropes are in your upcoming or latest release? Why these?

romance, contemporary romance, erotica

If your main character had a day off, how would they spend it?

Kinsley would be visiting some outrageous adult store or Sexpo with her wild friends, Remy and Ace, or would be indulging in a pamper session with her mum.

Anything else you'd like to share with our readers?

Reading sets my soul on fire. I feel like the characters I create are a part of me and every time I finish a book it's so hard to let them go!

It was the sinful attraction that was never supposed to have happened...

Kinsley wasn’t supposed to fall in love with her mother’s best friend but she did. Then it all fell apart. All she wanted was a fresh start but that’s harder said than done when the secrets of her past threaten to unravel the new beginning that she’s fought so hard to create.

A PR professional by day, novelist by night, Lauren Ashley, received her Bachelor of Media and Communications in Journalism from the University of New South Wales. When the Sydney native isn’t getting swept up in writing sinfully saucy romances, she spends most of her time reading and going on foodie adventures with her husband and daughter. Lauren’s also an avid dancer, loves singing loudly to old-school 2000 pop-punk music, and is a sucker, pun intended, for a good Vampire Diaries marathon with her Mum.
